Brake Light On
There s a problem with the anti lock brake system.
Brake light on. This light can be a very good thing. If you accidentally drive on your e brake for a bit it s not the end of the world. The brake warning light in your vehicle monitors the parking brake mechanism the brake fluid in the reservoir and any loss in pressure in the proportioning valve switch. If the parking brake is engaged or if the brake fluid is low in its reservoir the light will come on.
Avoid driving with the brake light on this light is an indicator that you need to diagnose a potential braking issue. If the brake light is on your car is trying to inform you that there is some kind of problem with the parts of the brake system. If the light stays on it means that the pressure on one side of the brake system is lower than on the other. It causes premature wear of your parking brake shoes and can generate a lot of heat in the rear wheels but rarely will it lead to an actual repair.
Ok my brake light comes on when i brake lift completely off brake and push it back in the light goes off. But when i brake and lift off not all the way and push it in more the light comes on. This system has a separate warning light that typically says abs but may vary depending on your vehicle. Most commonly this light is triggered by low brake fluid or an engaged parking brake.
