Light Spectrum Colors

Light spectrum colors. As a form of electromagnetic radiation light has properties in common with both waves and particles. The visible spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye. Passing white light through a prism splits it up into the several colors of light observed in the visible spectrum between 400 nm and 780 nm. Light from 400 700 nanometers nm is called visible light or the visible spectrum because humans can see it light outside of this range may be visible to other organisms but cannot be perceived by the human eye.
