Check Gages Light

The check gages light comes on a few minutes after a cold start then stays on even when you shut the truck down and remove key it stays on for a while after.

If the gauge is dropping all the way to the left cold it is likely due to an open circuit with the engine coolant temperature ect sensor. The check gauge light is located on the dashboard. An example would be your oil pressure gage falls below the normal range. All gauges are acting normal.

The check gages warning light is distinct from the check engine light cel and only comes on if the oil pressure or coolant temperatures are approaching a danger zone. The check gage light is intended to come on when one of the gages are reading less or more than it should be while in use.
